By using SDF as opposed to other varnishes, our patients can avoid more frequent treatments as SDF is proven to be more successful at reducing the growth of cavities.

If you have cavities already, SDF can still help. SDF has shown to be effective in stopping cavity development even after it has formed. Bacteria that cause cavities tend to break down the tooth surface and can make teeth more sensitive to treatment. By choosing SDF for your cavity prevention and treatment, you can avoid more painful procedures such as drilling the cavity.

SDF is not for everyone, so it is important to speak with your dentist about whether it is the right treatment for you.
